Jackpot!

I finally completed the idea/to do board! It is not what I originally envisioned, but that is sometimes what happens when created juices start flowing.

 

 

I got tired of waiting and searching for the perfect background, and I kept asking myself, should I do metal, should I do cork, should I do both? And then it came to me........how about twine with little clothes pins! JACKPOT!! 

I love how it turned out and it really it accents the wall color so well!

Organizing MUST be cute......continued!

Okay so its been a week since I got that cute HUGE frame to use as an idea/to do board and I'm just too excited to contain! I spent all week looking for the perfect paint, and I think I finally found it.  Here is my inspiration color that I was trying to match.....
 

 

See the vase? It is the perfect color to go against my Sea Foam green wall!! The only problem? I went through a cherry red before I got to this color and so we actually ended up painting it twice....once with the "almost right" color and once with the "perfect right" color!! It is Valspar red from Lowes and it is aaaaaammmmazzzing!!!!!

I'm sooooo happy with the way it turned out! Now to figure out what I am going to do with the center! It seems big metal pieces at the hardware store are quite pricey, so I will have to get creative for sure!

But for now, I am just enjoying the color and I will think about the rest tomorrow!

Ode to the Frame

One Saturday morning we spent garaging, we were not having the best of luck but we stumbled upon a sale.  The items for sale weren't that exciting but I did find a bag of frames and you will never guess how much I got them for....$0!  That's right, FREE!  The backs and glass were missing so the lady just gave them away.  I brought them home and used my spray paint magic on them!  I can't wait to use them in the girls room!
